- Exquisite Bind existed in my mind as an image long before I had the technical knowledge of how to make it. Its meaning kept shifting as I worked on it. One day the working title was "Portrait of my Father"; the next it was "Oh, Canada"; then "The Impostor", "The Apologist", "The Undecided", and so on. It was fun.
