This sculpture of a young pregnant woman opens up slightly at the back, as you can just see in this photo. I installed a light bulb inside which throws interesting shadows backwards, particularly if the figure stands in front of a mirrored background -- but this is not an essential feature. The long braid of hair, while appearing delicate and fragile, is in fact reinforced with epoxy to give it strength.
