Some Subjects We're Looking IntoThis is an incomplete sectionc intended to cover various topics one or the other of us finds intriguing. The first topic introduced here (some years ago) is: Profits vs Wages, the Ocandida Case.
If a plumber earns $20 an hour, should a shareholder earn 10% on capital? 5%? 30%? Or is the question irrelevant? This issue is addressed through the tale of the farmers of Ocandida, some of whom begin one day to build gum factories to cater to the gum chewing proclivities of the The Merryglands, the large country bordering Ocandida. How much profit is it fair for the gum factory owners to make?
